Joining our voluntary team

Our membership at Hospital Radio consists of volunteers who are a varied bunch of people from all ages, walks of life and professions. The range of talent is immense and they each bring their own individual style to the station where the patients would be very much the poorer without their contributions to help broadcast a show, ward visit, fundraise, work behind the scenes and make tea.

However, despite having a great bunch of volunteers we still want more people to become apart of Hospital Radio Ipswich and provide a much needed service to the patients of the Ipswich Hospital.

So, if you’re over eighteen, committed, interested in volunteering and consider the patients to be your top priority then we at Hospital Radio would like to hear from you.

The types of roles that are available at Hospital Radio are:

  • Ward Visiting
  • Presenting
  • Engineering
  • Accounting
  • Publicity
  • Fundraising
  • Station Managing
  • Mobile Disco work
  • General Administration

If you don’t have the time to be a volunteer then why not become a ‘Friend of Hospital Radio Ipswich’ and show your support for us that way. In turn you’ll receive things in the post from us throughout the year.

For more information you can download our membership information pack, our Friends form and contact us on 01473 704666. We look forward to hearing from you!
