Merry Christmas 2010

According to my chocolate advent calender there’s seven more sleeps until Christmas Day, which in effect means one week to go before Santa makes his annual visit across the globe delivering all his presents to the boys, girls, ladies and gentlemen who have been good throughout 2010. This then leads me onto asking you ‘Have you been good this year?’ because I know Tiggy Tiger hasn’t!!!! As most businesses close down for the Christmas period Hospital Radio Ipswich is pleased to announce that its got a rather bumper Christmas schedule thanks to the dedication of all our presenters. We will be the candy in your Christmas Stocking!!!!

Please remember that if you would like a request before, during and after the Christmas period for someone in hospital or for yourself then please dial *800 FREE from your Hospedia bedside phone handset, text 07789 825493, click Make a Request or ring 01473 704666. We only exist because of the residents temporarily residing at the Heath Road hospital site.

At the beginning of the month Hospital Radio Ipswich raised a staggering £354.08 at the Asda, Whitehouse Industrial Estate store so thank you to all the shoppers who gave us their spare change. The money will be divided between us and the East Anglian Children’s Hospice Treehouse appeal. Naturally, we look forward to seeing you at Asda in 2011. To find out what we raised over the course of 2010 at the supermarket keep checking back here and sooner or later you’ll see the grand total for 2010.

Well, before I disappear I would to take the opportunity to thank all the members and friends who attended our Christmas social party at the studio on Monday 13th December. If you donated food and/or raffle prizes it was very much appreciated and for your information in the raffle we raised just over £50.00. The pictures from the event are now in the gallery under Christmas Social 2010 so please do take a look.

Now from all of us at Hospital Radio Ipswich to all of you reading this we would like to wish you all a very Merry Christmas and a peaceful New Year.

Until next time – Ta Rah!
