A summer catch up

At the beginning of June 2010 Kevin Ashford went to the Suffolk Show with his microphone to do some recordings for his ‘In the Potting Shed’ show and had a fabulous time in the garden area. Thank you to the people who made him feel welcome. His pictures are in the gallery under ‘Kevin Ashford @ Suffolk Show 2010.’ On the 24th June 2010 Tiggy Tiger presented a cheque to the EACH appeal after we raised an overall total of £412.78 on the 12th June 2010 at Asda, Whitehouse Industrial Estate. The money was split 50/50 between us and EACH. Before Tiggy arrived at the EACH offices in Ipswich he went for a cruise about the town in a convertible delighting the public who saw him sitting in the car. To have a look at the pictures of Tiggy see the album ‘Tiggy Tiger @ EACH June 2010‘ in the gallery. Finally, our roadshow team have continued doing a varied amount of disco’s for different occasions and we hope all of our clients enjoyed themselves. Even Tiggy Tiger made an appearance for a 6th birthday party where he was fortunate enough to get a piece of chocolate. Spoilt animal!!!

Our football commentary has restarted once again to coincide with the beginning of the Ipswich Town Football Season 10/11 meaning Summer Breeze with Kevin Ashford has now ended. Our first show of the season was on Saturday 14th August 2010 against Burnley and please don’t forget we broadcast all home matches live from Portman Road on Hospital Radio Ipswich. If your a patient and want your request on the football show just ring up *800 via your Hospedia bedside phone. Our commentators down at the ground look forward to reading your request out and our home page will always tell you when our next football show is.

On a sadder note our Membership Secretary Mark Exton has had to resign two months before he anticipated but we would like to thank him for all his hard work over the course of the year and we look forward to working with him in the future. A new Membership Secretary between now and the AGM in October is yet to be confirmed but in the meantime our current Executive Committee is working together to keep the wheels of the membership turning so do feel free to continue joining us by filling out the Application Form found under ‘About Us.’

Well that’s all for now. Things to look forward is us being outside Asda, Whitehouse Industrial Estate on Saturday 11th September 2010 and the AGM on Sunday 3rd October. Keep checking back for more HRI news. Until next time… Ta rah!
